Our Father in Heaven doesn’t want us to worry. The enemy uses worry as a tool. He uses worry and fear as weapons to take us away from focusing on God and Christ.

If our bodies(including our minds) are temples, then why should we let Satan (temptation, fear, worry, jealousy, anxiety) in? We control the door. We have a choice as to what we bring in. When the enemy comes knocking, when he’s parading outside of your temple holding up signs that say “You’re not going to make it”, or “You’re a failure”, or “You’re going to lose everything”- whatever the negative phrase or feeling is- DON’T open the door. Don’t let him in.

It would be so much easier if we heard the actual “knocks” of temptation and fear when they arrived. (Wouldn’t that also be a little crazy?) It would make it a lot easier to recognize the influence of the enemy.

I promise you that if you pray for guidance and discernment, God and Christ will help you identify when the enemy is at your door. They can help you keep your door shut. When that knock comes, they can give you the strength to yell “not today!” Or, my personal favorite, “Nobody’s home!” 😆

The next time you are fearful, jealous, angry, or worried, recognize and discern where that emotion is coming from. So often, the enemy tries to creep into our lives disguised as these negative feelings and emotions, and we don’t even realize it.

When we choose faith over fear, we are letting the peace of Christ rule in our hearts. We are deliberately choosing God and Christ over the enemy and his lies. We are inviting them into our homes with open arms.
