How many decisions do we make over the course of a day? Or a month? Or a year? How many decisions do we make in a lifetime? Too many to count.
While some decisions are truly insignificant, sometimes we face other decisions that come with divine warnings. Warnings that sometimes don’t make sense at the present time, but make complete sense in hindsight.
Have you ever ignored heavenly warnings about decisions that you thought were pretty insignificant, and they ended up dramatically changing your whole life?
Have you ever made a major life decision without requesting divine guidance from our Heavenly Father? Unfortunately, I’ve done both. I wouldn’t advise it. I think that sometimes, we get so wrapped up in our own plans, that we forget to ask the creator for his opinion and help.
There have been long-term consequences to mistakes that I made 5, 10, even 15 years ago. And while I continue to pick myself up and learn from them, I still wish I could go back and change my life.
I’m sure we all feel that way about our lives in one area or another. While we can’t change the past, we can forge ahead in faith and trust, acknowledging God’s plan and guidance for our lives. We can use those missed opportunities of his divine guidance as stepping stones on a path to a better, more guided future. If we learn from our mistakes, they are not wasted.
God wants us to ask him about whatever decisions that we are facing, big or small. He knows the right path to take.
When we are willing to request and acknowledge the divine presence of God and Christ, they will help us. They are merciful and compassionate.
Even during the times in my life when I wasn’t acknowledging them at all, I can look back and see how they were still trying to reach out to me. They were still trying to guide me away from danger. They were still warning me about bad decisions, I was just unwilling to listen.
God is not promising us an easy life. However, I can promise you that life with his divine assistance is easier. He can and will direct you in the way that you should go. He is the compass that guides us through this life, no matter the storms or challenges that we are facing.
There’s a peace that comes from knowing that he’s guiding you in your life. There’s peace in knowing that he is directing your path. There’s peace in knowing that he has helped you make the right decision, whatever that decision may be.
Let God and Christ be your compass. Their assistance is invaluable. They truly know the way.
Wishing you a beautiful day!
