Serve.

Christ has instructed that we must deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him.

How do we deny ourselves?

Just as Jesus did, we ask for the will of the Father. In prayer, we surrender our will and lives to God.

Christ is the perfect example of denying oneself to do the will of God.

He gave his life in selfless service. He sought no personal gain. Through his actions, Christ glorified God, not himself.

How can we deny ourselves and glorify God? Maybe we can take an inventory of our day- of the time that God has given us. What do we spend it on? Could we deny ourselves and help someone else in need? Opportunities for service always abound. Ask God, and you will be guided to where your help is needed.

When we deny ourselves and serve our God, the most incredible thing happens- we become fulfilled. We become complete. We become more connected to our Father because we are doing his will. Through our selfless service, he will lift our spirits and warm our hearts.

Wishing you a beautiful day!
