Have you ever been completely misunderstood by someone? Maybe they thought that you wronged them. Maybe they heard something about you that wasn’t true. Maybe they didn’t take the time to get to know you, and they went ahead and passed their judgment upon you.

We’ve all been completely misunderstood by someone at one point or another. It’s an incredibly frustrating ordeal. Even after we try to clarify or explain ourselves, we can still be left feeling very misunderstood and hurt.

When we try to understand someone, we hope that our efforts will be reciprocated. Unfortunately, that is not always the case.

Thankfully, we don’t have to be understood by man to be understood by God. He already knows everything- your struggles, your pain, the depth of your grief. There’s no searching of his understanding- it has no end.

You will not find one problem that God and Jesus Christ don’t understand. They understand all of your difficulties, no matter how big or small. They understand the pain of someone yelling at you for no reason, they understand financial difficulties, they understand loneliness. They understand loss, depression, hopelessness, mental and physical illness. They truly understand everything.

When you’re feeling misunderstood, please turn to God, and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Tell them what happened, tell them how hurt you are, and then ask for comfort, wisdom, forgiveness (if need be), and guidance. God’s merciful understanding will provide you with peace in your mind and heart.

Wishing you a beautiful day!
