Unshakable faith.

Is our faith unshakable?

Near Jericho, a blind man was begging. He heard a crowd passing by. He asked them what was going on. They told him that Jesus was making his way along the road. He cried out, saying, “Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me!”

The crowd rebuked him- they told him to be quiet. Yet, he continued. He cried even louder. His unshakable, irrepressible faith in the Son of God carried over the sounds of the crowd and to the Savior’s ears. “Thou Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Mercy was exactly what was given to the blind man that day. Christ healed him because of his great faith. Christ answered his call. His sight was restored.

When times are difficult, when we are in need of a miracle, when the noise of the crowd tries to drown out our pleas to the Savior- may our faith be as unshakable as that of the blind man. A man who could not see the Lord- but knew that help was only a prayer away.
