In God’s hands.

There may be times when we tell ourselves that we have complete control over our circumstances. It can be a comforting thought- especially when life is so challenging. That thought, however, is far from the truth.

Our lives are in God’s hands. They always have been. They always will be.

A few weeks ago, that thought was placed upon my heart. I’ve found myself saying it at least once a day.

Our lives are in God’s hands.

Satan’s questions have also come rushing to my mind: How will you pay the bills? What if you get sick? What if your family gets sick? What if you can’t get enough food at the grocery store? What if you run out of supplies? What if you don’t disinfect everything well enough? What if you lose everything you care about? How long will this last? What if it never ends?

Our lives are in God’s hands.

His capable, loving, merciful hands. His hands that have shown me the way, that have guided me this far in life, that have granted me my daily bread. Hands that have given me shelter, employment, family, and friends. Hands that have fiercely protected me from Satan’s grasp. I’ve seen the works of God’s hands- they have given miracles to sick family members, friends, even pets, extending life against all odds. Even when His will was contrary to my own, God’s hands held me. They lifted me up. They guided me through the darkness.

Have faith. Trust in Him.

We are in good hands.
