Reading Paul’s letter to the Philippians today has really been enjoyable. I suggest that if you haven’t read it in a while, that you go back and study it. It is full of amazing verses that are so applicable to the times that we are living in.
Paul explains in this verse that he has learned to be content in any situation that he finds himself in. The crazy thing here, the thing that blows my mind, is that Paul is writing this letter while he is in prison. Prison is usually not associated with contentment, satisfaction, or peace.
But, Paul had it figured out.
Even though he was in prison, he was content- because he had Jesus.
A few verses later in 4:13, he famously states: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
So, no matter the circumstances that we may find ourselves in- we will find contentment and peace if we walk with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was with Paul in prison.
He is with you today.
Love,
Amber
